I first had this dish years ago at a friend’s house and it was phenomenal. I was even lucky enough to get the leftovers to take home. The fantastic Chef who prepared the dish is from Greece. I have always loved her hummus, but now with the spiced ground beef on top it was out of this world.
I am exploring the cuisine of Cyprus this month with my students, so I decided to try out my own version with the traditional Cypriot seasoning. Again I was so happy to enjoy this dish and share it with my students. I hope you will appreciate it as well. I would love to try it with ground lamb one of these days too.
Enjoy!
